Beaches
Oakland County Parks maintains two beaches for water fun in the summer:
Groveland Oaks County Park & Campground
Groveland Oaks County Park & Campground is home to a sandy beach along Stewart Lake. Pedalboats, kayaks and paddleboards are available for rent. The beach does not have lifeguards on duty.
Beach Update
Bacteria levels have returned to normal and Stewart Lake Beach is now open. Sampling results can be found on the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) BeachGuard website. Independence Oaks County Park
Independence Oaks County Park maintains a large beach area with a sandy area perfect for building sandcastles or relaxing along the shoreline. Picnic areas and pavilions are nearby. The beach does not have lifeguards on duty.
