About G2G Marketplace & the Cooperative Program
The G2G Marketplace and Cooperative Program were developed by Oakland County, Michigan to offer products, solutions, and services from approved suppliers to government agencies through an online procurement center.
The goal of this initiative is to provide governments with an easy way to research, purchase and implement products, solutions, and services. The G2G Marketplace will simplify the purchasing and licensing process so government agencies can utilize products, solutions, and services quickly.
Benefits of G2G Marketplace & the Cooperative Program
We understand the many constraints and issues that government agencies have to deal with on a day-to-day basis because we too are government. The essence of the G2G Marketplace is about government helping government. Oakland County, Michigan created this initiative so government agencies could provide better government by working together as a collective force to provide better solutions and services to their citizens.
Through the G2G Marketplace, government agencies will benefit by:
- Eliminating budget hours going to RFP
- Utilize RFP budget dollars for investigating products, solutions, and services
- Reducing costs associated with drafting complex contracts and agreements with suppliers
- Simplifying and significantly shortening time to consume products, solutions, and services
- Combining the economies of scale from shared resources, software and licensing thereby reducing costs
- Working together to leverage services and contracts for mutual benefit, therefore reducing the overall cost of government operations
- Improving scalability, redundancy and resiliency, often not available to governments due to lack of financial or technical resources
- Tried and tested products, solutions and services utilized by Oakland County, Michigan

Any government agency can register and utilize the solutions and services offered in the G2G Marketplace. A government agency includes states, counties, cities, villages, townships, courts, schools, libraries, police departments, fire departments, etc.

No. There is no cost for use of the G2G Marketplace.
Any government agency can buy off the contracts listed in the G2G Marketplace. Simply, decide what to buy, download the documents for that good, service or solution, contact the supplier, and generate a purchase order.
The products, solutions and services were selected through a standard procurement process using generally accepted purchasing practice and guidelines with Oakland County, MI.
If your agency is allowed to participate and purchase from Cooperative agreements, then yes. We use the generally accepted government standard purchasing process to purchase goods, solutions, and services.
The G2G Marketplace is a program run by Oakland County, Michigan Purchasing Department.
We welcome Government Agencies to report any contract usage. It’s a simple process of uploading the Purchase Order.
Supplier
You must first have been awarded a contract, based off an Oakland County Solicitation. Suppliers that respond to an Oakland County Bid are screened and selected based on the demand or need for Oakland County. Upon contract award, suppliers can opt into the program if they wish.
