Accepted Payment Methods

The Oakland County Medical Examiner's Office accepts credit card and bank (ACH) payments online. There is a Service Fee charged for each transaction. There is a 3.5% fee for credit card transactions and a flat $2.50 per bank (ACH) payment. See Service Fee Chart. Accepted credit cards are Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. Debit cards are accepted with a Visa or MasterCard logo, without a PIN, and are processed like a credit card.

Private Autopsy

Request for a private autopsy is subject to the Medical Examiner's approval. Please do not make a payment for a private autopsy until approval has been received.

Medical Examiner Payment Types

The Oakland County Medical Examiner's Office accepts payments for Body Bags, Body Storage, Cremation Permits, Deposition Testimony, Medical Services, and Private Autopsy.
