J. Wolfgang Goerlich

J. Wolfgang Goerlich is the Chief Information Security Officer for Oakland County, where he leads the County's cybersecurity program.

In this role, he oversees the strategy, people, and technology that protect County systems and data, and he guides outreach that strengthens security across local governments, businesses, and the communities Oakland County serves.

Before joining the County, he led IT and information security in the private sector across the healthcare, financial services, and technology industries, building and guiding security programs through years of evolving threats.

A respected voice in the cybersecurity community, Wolfgang is widely recognized for advancing collaboration and innovation in the field. He has helped establish and organize numerous security conferences, groups, and initiatives; work that reflects his commitment to mentoring and developing the next generation of technology professionals.
