Oakland County Cybersecurity helps protect the systems and services that residents rely on every day.

We work closely with County leadership and departments to manage cyber risk, strengthen security, and support informed decision-making across the organization. From public safety and health services to parks, courts, and community programs, our team helps ensure that critical County operations remain secure, available, and resilient. Local Government

Oakland County Cybersecurity partners with cities, villages, townships, and other local agencies to strengthen security across the entire region. In addition to protecting the CVT services Oakland County provides, Cybersecurity offers a regular schedule of hands-on workshops and technical training, we help the people who keep local systems running stay ahead of evolving threats.

These sessions are built for a technical audience: the IT staff supporting a local municipality, and the cybersecurity professionals defending a neighboring county. Topics are practical and current, drawn from the real challenges facing public-sector teams today. Because when every community raises its capabilities, every community is safer.

Citizens

Anyone can be targeted by a scam but no one should face it unprepared. Oakland County Cybersecurity is committed to helping the County's nearly 1.3 million residents recognize and avoid the fraud, scams, and online threats that grow more sophisticated every year. Through our online blog, we regularly publish plain-language awareness materials that make it easy for everyone to stay safe.

We pay special attention to those most at risk. Our dedicated outreach for senior citizens meets older residents where they are, with guidance tailored to the scams that target them most. And through ongoing community education, we work every day to reduce crime across Oakland County by putting knowledge — the best defense there is — into more hands.
