GIS Distributed Services
For information about any of the services listed below, please contact the Oakland County Service Center.
ArcGIS Online (AGO) access is available for all County departments. AGO is a cloud-based GIS platform that enables non-GIS users to make and share their own maps and applications using the County's authoritative GIS data, as well as data they create on their own. Because this is web-based technology, maps and apps can be viewed not only on a desktop, but also on mobile devices any time, anywhere. Maps and apps can also be embedded or shared on the departments web site, or via social media.
ArcGIS Online accounts are available to any Oakland County department, CVT, or RCOC staff. Accounts can be requested by contacting the Oakland County Information Technology Service Center at (248) 858-8812 or servicecenter@oakgov.com.
CAMS is Oakland County’s Cityworks implementation of a standardized, countywide infrastructure (water, sewer, storm and roads) management system that allows Oakland County and its local governments to proactively manage assets and mitigate long-term costs associated with the operations and maintenance of critical infrastructure.

In the spring of 2023, the County obtained oblique imagery with a 3" pixel resolution. This imagery is available to County and CVT staff through the following ways:
- Those on the County's BSA Assessing system can view it directly from BSA. Those not on the County's BSA system were offered the option to integrate with their own BSA as well.
- County and CVT staff users can use the vendor’s "Sanborn Oblique Analyst" (SOA) web application.
- Training for the SOA is available within the application, or on YouTube.
- To request a SOA account, please contact the Oakland County Service at servicecenter@oakgov.com or 248-858-8812.
