52-4 District Court Magistrates

Magistrate Liddle was appointed to the 52-4 District Court in 2021. Ms. Liddle received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Michigan State University and her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law.

Ms. Liddle has litigation experience in both the private and public sectors. Over the course of her legal career, she has litigated matters in administrative forums, state court and federal court. She is an active member of the State Bar of Michigan, Oakland County Bar Association and the Detroit Bar Association. She has served on the Judicial Evaluation Committee for the Detroit Bar Association and assists with various Bench Bar Conferences with the 3rd Judicial Circuit Court. Ms. Liddle is also admitted to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.

Ms. Liddle has also served on the Oakland University Paralegal Program Board. She is currently an adjunct professor for the Oakland University Paralegal Program and assists with their internship program. She is actively involved in several Oakland County charities and non-profit organizations that serve our community youth and families.

Magistrate Chiappelli was appointed as a Magistrate in 2005. Ms. Chiappelli received her Bachelor of Social Work degree from Wayne State University and her Juris Doctorate at the University of Detroit Mercy, School of Law.

Ms. Chiappelli began her legal career at the Oakland County Prosecutor's Office. During her tenure she served as an Assistant Prosecutor in the Warrants, District, Juvenile, and Circuit Court Divisions. Subsequent to her service as an Assistant Prosecutor she entered into private practice and practiced in the area of Criminal Defense. She is an active member of the State Bar of Michigan. Ms. Chiappelli lives in Troy with her husband and three children.
