Orion Oaks
Archery Hunting
Archery hunting for white-tailed deer (with some limitations) is allowed in this park, hunting locations and rules are listed in the individual park archery maps. No parks allow firearm hunting.

e-Bikes
Please note that ONLY Class 1 e-Bikes with pedal assist only with no throttle are allowed on our trails. High-speed e-Bikes that can travel at 20 mph or faster, along with Sur-rons, are not permitted. If you have any questions, please contact the park directly. We appreciate your help keeping our trails safe and fun for all pedestrians and riders.
About
Orion Oaks is known for its popular dog park, the first of three in the Oakland County Parks system. The 24-acre dog park features enclosures for off-leash play, two trails, field area, picnic pavilion and modern restrooms. The dog park entrance is on Joslyn Road, between Scripps and Clarkston roads. Orion Oaks’ 916 acres also offers 10 miles of hiking and mountain bike trails, geocaching and fishing on Lake Sixteen, with a wheelchair accessible fishing pier off Joslyn Road. A small boat launch is provided for non-motorized boats. The park may be accessed from three parking lots on Baldwin, Clarkston and Joslyn roads.

The pavilion is adjacent to a modern restroom building with access to the park's hiking trails and short walk to Lake Sixteen, which offers an accessible fishing dock and non-motorized boating.
