PONTIAC, Mich. – Oakland County Prosecutor KAREN D. McDONALD charged Terrell Quayshawn Edwards, a 26-year-old resident of Pontiac with First Degree Murder for the death of Antonio Craig, as well as 2 counts of Felony Firearm and 1 count of Felon In Possession Of A Firearm.
On November 29, the defendant is alleged to have fired five shots at the victim, striking him four times as he was seated inside a pickup truck, near his home in Pontiac. Sheriff’s Deputies used FLOCK shot spotter technology and footage from doorbell cameras to help identify the defendant. The victim was the defendant’s step-father.
“Antonio Craig was loved by many, and his loss will be felt in the community,” said Prosecutor McDonald. “Our thoughts are with his loved ones as we work to hold his killer accountable.”
First Degree Murder is punishable by life without parole. Felony Firearm is punishable by 2 years in prison, served consecutively with any other sentence. Felon In Possession Of A Firearm is punishable by up to 5 years in prison and/or a $5000 fine.
Charges are accusations and individuals are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
