Boys Non-Secure (BNS)
Children’s Village Boys Non-Secure (BNS) uses evidence-based therapeutic treatment to support adolescent boys in developing accountability, structure, and pro-social behaviors. Our approach focuses on helping youth recognize patterns in their decision-making and equipping them with the tools necessary to make positive, responsible choices. Through individualized treatment plans guided by normed assessment tools, each resident receives targeted support based on their history, behaviors, and treatment needs.
The BNS program emphasizes skill-building, personal responsibility, and behavioral change within a structured and supportive environment. Youth are challenged to grow through the development of key competencies such as honesty, trust, respect, responsibility, social awareness, conflict resolution, coping skills, and anger management. Interactive journaling and cognitive-behavioral strategies are central to the program, promoting self-reflection and the development of a productive, goal-oriented mindset. Family engagement remains a priority, with services including family therapy and parental support to strengthen relationships and support a successful transition back into the community.
