The Application Process
It’s strongly recommended that you attach your résumé when applying. You can either upload a saved document from your computer or manually enter your information.
If you choose to upload a résumé, your work history will automatically populate the Work Experience section. Be sure to review and update this information before submitting your application.
Your profile will be securely saved and can be reused for future job openings. All online profiles are stored on a protected site, and only authorized employees and hiring officials have access to the information you provide.
You must list your work experience in the Work Experience section of your profile. Review the job posting, especially the position purpose and minimum qualifications, before completing this section, as only related experience will be considered.
If you do not upload a résumé, you must manually enter your work experience, including employer, job title, dates of employment, hours worked per week, job duties, and reason for leaving.
Incomplete work history or missing details related to minimum qualifications may result in disqualification.
Applicants will be tested as they apply and ranked on an eligible list based on final exam scores. Rankings may change as additional applicants are tested. Submissions will not be accepted after the posted closing date.
Examinations are used to create an eligible list for current and future vacancies. Departments may select candidates from this list, which remains active for six months unless exhausted, replaced, or extended.
For continuous examinations, submissions are accepted until sufficient candidates are identified, so applicants are encouraged to apply promptly. Due to applicant volume, not all applicants will be interviewed. Selected candidates are typically contacted within 30 days of the posted closing date.
