2027 Plan Highlights
- The High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP/PPO) has been renamed the HSA Medical Plan
- Health Savings Accounts: 100% of the County contribution will be front-loaded on the first paycheck of 2027, which will deposit on 1/15/2027. Health Savings Accounts are available only to those enrolled in the HSA Medical Plan.
- Some employees may have higher prescription copays starting in 2027. Please review the information below that corresponds to your bargaining unit for more information.
- Medical, dental and vision coverage can be selected per family member. For example, you can elect to have a newborn baby on medical coverage but not elect to add them to dental and vision coverage. We highly recommend checking your medical, dental and vision enrollment to ensure you have enrolled your dependents into the intended benefit plans.
- Effective 1/1/2025, dependents turning age 26 are eligible for benefits through the end of the month in the month they turn 26.
- Marathon Health at Oakland County clinic is scheduled to launch in early 2027! This will create a low to no cost option for employees and dependents enrolled in Oakland County's medical plan for preventive care, acute care, physical therapy, mental health, nutrition therapy and chronic condition management. Some generic medications will also be available at an on-site pharmacy.
- This will also include the Marathon Health LevelUp Program - advanced primary care for weight management and other chronic conditions.
- LevelUp will replace Teladoc Health Chronic Condition Management.
- Teladoc Health 24/7 Virtual Care and Mental Health Care will still be available for all employees and dependents enrolled in an Oakland County Medical Plan.
