The 52nd District Court, Second Division employs three part-time Magistrates who are responsible for conducting arraignments, small claims hearings, informal hearings, setting bond, and performing marriages.
Tom Raguso has been a 52-2 District Court Magistrate since 1998. His undergraduate degree is from Michigan State University and JD degree from Wayne State University.
Daniel Schouman was appointed Magistrate in 2013. In addition to serving as magistrate, Mr. Schouman operates a law firm in Walled Lake, Michigan. His firm represents individuals and corporations in multiple areas of law including commercial litigation, probate, personal injury, business, criminal, and family law. He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the Oakland County Bar Association, Michigan Association of District Court Magistrates, and is admitted to practice in all Michigan State Courts and the Federal Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan. Mr. Schouman has also been admitted pro hac vice in State and Federal Courts outside of Michigan and has litigated matters in Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Florida and Minnesota. He is a graduate of Xavier University and the University of Detroit School of Law.

Michael Bosnic graduated from Michigan State University in 1991 and Notre Dame Law School in 1994. He was appointed as a Magistrate in 2015. In that capacity, he covers dockets in the Clarkston and Novi District Courts, and also participates in Oakland County's Weekend Arraignment Program.
As an attorney with Giarmarco, Mullins and Horton, PLC, Michael concentrates his practice in the areas of municipal representation, litigation and District Court prosecution. He has successfully represented a number of communities in District and Circuit Courts.
Mr. Bosnic has extensive experience in the area of Property Tax Appeals. He has presented across the state on this practice area, at the request of numerous public officials. He also has successfully represented clients in Federal Court, having prosecuted their claims for age and gender discrimination. He obtained a record jury verdict against the Internal Revenue Service and was featured on the cover of the February 10, 2003 edition of Michigan Lawyers Weekly.
Mr. Bosnic has earned an "AV" Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest ranking by peers for general ethical standards and legal ability.
Michael has been married to Sejal since 1994 and they have three boys.

Richard Strenger graduated from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 1983 and the Detroit College of law (Now Michigan State University College of Law) in 1999. He was appointed as a Magistrate in 2024.
In addition to serving as magistrate, Rich operates a law practice in Lake Orion Michigan. His practice consists of Criminal Defense, Juvenile law, Contract and other transactional work for businesses and individuals. He also has past experience in Business and construction litigation.
Prior to opening his own practice in 2006, Rich was an Oakland County Assistant Prosecutor and an associate attorney at Butzel Long.
