The Adult Treatment Court (ATC) is more than a set of requirements, it’s a program that empowers participants to move beyond survival, embrace purpose, and build a life grounded in hope, opportunity, and sustained recovery.
The ATC serves non-violent felony offenders, offering comprehensive support for those addressing a substance use disorder or managing a co-occurring diagnosis involving both substance use and mental health conditions.
By promoting accountability, restoring dignity, preventing unnecessary incarceration, and supporting long-term recovery, the ATC protects the community, transforms lives, strengthens families, and breaks the cycle of justice system involvement.
* The Adult Treatment Court operates under a post-adjudication model; therefore, eligibility is determined during the Pre-Sentence Investigation conducted by the Michigan Department of Corrections. To participate in the program, the following eligibility criteria must be met:
*The ATC is not a certified Sobriety Court and does not provide restricted licenses as a program condition or incentive.
