Melanie Plank has created a community hub that encourages childhood development and learning, family bonding, and camaraderie among parents.
She blended her love of gymnastics and helping children meet milestones physically, socially, and emotionally to create her business Ð Play And Grow. Nearly 5,000 children have participated in classes and programs at Play And Grow at present.
Plank is an executive board member and secretary of the Huron Valley Chamber of Commerce, which supports local businesses and the community, as well as the parent council co-chair at the Charyl Stockwell Academy District, a tuition-free, public kindergarten to high school.
Born and raised in Milford, Plank earned her bachelorÕs degree in interdisciplinary health services and her masterÕs degree in occupational therapy from Western Michigan University.
