A passionate activist, Kimberly S. Buddin has spent the entirety of her career advocating for the rights and freedoms of others. Buddin serves as senior policy counsel in the Justice Division of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), where she advances criminal legal reform across the country through state and federal work. Outside of her work with the ACLU, she is an adjunct professor at Wayne State Law School, teaching courses on practical lawyering skills and the First Amendment. Buddin also volunteers as a pro-bono immigration attorney with the Michigan Immigrant Rights Center. She was previously appointed by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer to serve on the Michigan Intelligence Operations Center for Homeland Security Advisory Board and the Michigan Indigent Defense Commission. A Novi resident, Buddin earned her bachelorÕs degree in psychology and political science from the University of Michigan and her law degree from the Michigan State University College of Law.
