Brynn Cooksey benefits his community by helping lower the cost of utility bills, rejuvenate homes and foster more skilled workers.
After spending 15 years in the utility gas and power industry, he reinvigorated his familyÕs heating and cooling business in Southfield. Cooksey changed the name to Air Doctors Heating and Cooling to reflect his professional nickname - the "Air Doctor.Ó
As a professor at Henry Ford College and owner of HVAC U in Southfield, Cooksey has trained more than 15,000 HVAC technicians, electricians and energy auditors.
Cooksey earned associate degrees in applied science for HVACR, power engineering, facilities maintenance, plant maintenance, electrical and electronic technology and alternative energy from Henry Ford College. He is currently working on his bachelorÕs degree in applied science for HVAC/R engineering technology from Ferris State University.
