Ashley R. Turner was motivated to serve her community after witnessing the gap of unserved individuals who couldnÕt afford legal services but didnÕt qualify for free legal aid.
She is the founder and director of the Oakland Mediation Center's Low-Cost Legal Services, providing greater access to legal services. During the pandemic, the program received a $750,000 grant from Oakland County which helped thousands of residents. Additionally, Turner is an attorney with Patrick and Associates PLLC, representing clients in probate, civil and family courts.
Turner also acts as the secretary on the board of directors of The Art Experience, an art therapy non-profit.
Turner, a Highland resident, earned her bachelorÕs degree in history and public relations from Oakland University and her law degree from Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School.
