With lifelong roots in Novi, Aaron Martinez has built his career on making justice accessible for all and public service in Oakland County. Currently, Martinez is a trial attorney at the Law Offices of Jason Waechter with a focus on personal injury, criminal defense, civil rights and elections-related litigation. In addition, he is the youngest and first Hispanic/Latino member elected to the Novi City Council. In 2024, Martinez received the PresidentÕs Volunteer Service Award Ð Gold Level from former President Joe Biden in recognition of his more than 500 hours of charity work, including volunteer legal work. He also serves as a member-at-large of the Oakland County Bar AssociationÕs Legislative Committee. Martinez earned his associate degree in paralegal studies from Oakland Community College, bachelorÕs degree in political theory and constitutional democracy from Michigan State UniversityÕs James Madison College, and his law degree from Detroit Mercy Law.
