29 Executive Director SistaHaus Community Foundation Making a name for herself through artwork, philanthropy and working in the nonprofit world, NaÕJeray Elam leads the SistaHaus Community Foundation in Pontiac, which is geared toward bridging the gap between homelessness and hopefulness for the youth of Oakland County. The Foundation helps with workforce training, life skills, educational pathways and community service for youth who are aging out of the foster care system. Elam has also been a fourth-grade substitute teacher at the University Prep Academy in Detroit and has worked with Leaders of Tomorrow, an after-school program that provides youth with the skills they need to deal with social adversity in Pontiac and Detroit, A resident of Pontiac, Elam earned an associate degree from Oakland Community College and is attending Wayne State University.
