Born and raised in Germany, Lydia Michael is the founder and owner of a multicultural marketing and brand consulting agency — Blended Collective.

Using her own experience growing up in a culturally diverse home, she connects businesses with multicultural customers to foster brand loyalty and advocacy. In 2023, Michael published her first book, “Brand Love – Building Strong Consumer Brand Connections,” which examines how brands click with consumers on emotional and cerebral levels.

She is also a member of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra’s board of trustees and founder/former president of Beta Gamma Sigma Detroit Alumni Chapter.

Michael earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Wayne State University and an MBA in business international management from Pforzheim University in Germany as well as a graduate of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program.

She lives in West Bloomfield and speaks fluent Arabic and German.
