Raised in a family of physicians and educators, Dr. Dev M. Oza was inspired to dedicate his career to science, technology, and public service. Through his work in digital dentistry, he combines his medical and computer science knowledge to improve his patients’ quality of life, such as 3D printing a model of their jaw for smile restorations. Oza also provides access to dental care services for low-income families or those who don’t have insurance at the Royal Dental Center.

Oza is the treasurer of the Helpless Animals Life Project, which provides care for more than 500 aging and disabled pets.

He earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in computer science and engineering from Oakland University and graduated with a doctorate in dental surgery from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. He lives in West Bloomfield.
