Youth Mental Health Liaison
Oakland Community Health Network
Ashley Sansom is passionate about connecting children and teenagers with quality mental health care.
In her current role, as a youth mental health liaison with Oakland Community Health Network (OCHN), she has helped more than 1,300 Oakland County youth. Sansom also helped to establish the countyÕs first Juvenile Mental Health Court and is its clinical liaison. Additionally, Sansom is a specially trained clinician on OCHNÕs Critical Incident Stress Management Team (CISM), with which she provided emergency mental health services for children and families affected by the tragedy at Oxford High School in 2021.
In 2023, Sansom received OCHNÕs Employee Excellence Award.
The Waterford resident earned a bachelorÕs degree in social work from Saginaw Valley State University and a masterÕs degree in social work, with a cognitive behavioral therapy concentration, from Wayne State University.
