Executive Director
Paint Creek Center for the Arts
As the executive director of Paint Creek Center for the Arts, Shaun Hayes’ oversees the nonprofits’ fundraisers, activities, exhibitions and art markets, including the annual Art & Apples Festival in Rochester. In 2022, the festival hosted 230 artists, 25 food vendors, 20 sponsors and attracted nearly 50,000 attendees. He was even invited by U.S. Rep. Elissa Slokin, D-Lansing, to judge the Congressional High School Art Competition in her district which provides scholarship opportunities and inclusion in the U.S. capitol building.
Hayes is dedicated to connecting business owners, local leaders and elected officials in the community. The Rochester Regional Chamber of Commerce invited him to mentor new organizations and provide access to business resources and membership benefits. And while on the Rochester Downtown Development Authority Promotions Committee, he has worked with fellow local leaders to host events in downtown Rochester.
Previously, as the executive director of the Clarkston Area Chamber of Commerce, Hayes organized several community events including Concerts in the Park, Women in Business Conference and Taste of Clarkston.
He graduated from Oakland University with a bachelor’s degree in general management.
Hayes lives in Clarkston.
