Owner and Clinic Director
Bright Pine Behavioral Health
Guided by her family’s experiences during the Holocaust, Dr. Kat Lewitzke was taught to value altruism above all else.
After her second child was born during the peak of COVID-19, Lewitzke returned to the frontlines of the mental health field so patients could continue receiving psychological and neuropsychological assessments for disorders such as ADHD and autism.
As the owner of Bright Pine Behavioral Health clinics, Lewitzke and her team offer expediated testing services and no-cost evaluations for low-income patients. She has also connected with schools to provide psychological support for students and families from Ukraine as well as those affected by the shooting at Oxford High School. Her clinics are also official donation sites for Toys for Tots and has started involving her young children in the program.
In 2019, Metro Parent recognized her as a Metro-Detroit Mom Approved Doc.
Outside of Bright Pine Behavioral Health, Lewitzke hosts her own podcast, “Psych Confidential,” focusing on reducing the stigma of mental illness and mental health education.
Lewitzke earned a doctorate in clinical psychology from the Michigan School of Psychology, a master’s degree in clinical psychology with a focus on child development from the University of Detroit Mercy and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Oakland University.
She and her family live in West Bloomfield Township.
