After graduating from Michigan State University with a degree in political science, Jeremy Bowie moved to Washington D.C, where he worked as an intern for former U.S. Sen. Carl Levin and in the administration of President Barack Obama.

He returned to his hometown of Pontiac and got a law degree and began working for the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office, where he handled domestic violence cases. He eventually went into private practice, working for the Perkins Law Group in Detroit until he was appointed to the District Court bench last year by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.

In his spare time, Bowie mentors students at the International Technology Academy in Pontiac and is a mentor to the Wings of Fire, a FIRST Robotics team in Pontiac.

He received a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and a law degree from Western Michigan University. He lives in Pontiac.
