For Christopher Hagan, a three-digit number - 9-1-1 – represents the best part of government. As a Captain in the Orion Township Fire Department, he knows that residents need only call 9-1-1 to summon help in an emergency and know that professionals will take over and provide assistance, whether it’s CPR, the equipment to extinguish a blaze or a first response to an accident.

He started his career as an Orion Township firefighter in 2007 and was promoted to Captain last year. Hagan is the president of the Orion Township Professional Firefighter’s Union and involved with the non-profit Orion Firefighter's Association. He is the team captain for the American Lung Association’s Fight for Air Climb since 2013.

He received a bachelor’s degree from Oakland University and lives in Orion Township with his wife and daughter.
