Focusing on environmental sustainability and green technologies, Brandon Kolo started his business Ð Main Street Service Group Ð during the COVID pandemic to try and help restaurants stay open through implementing energy efficiencies.
The efforts have led to a 10 percent reduction in energy usage in more than 500 restaurants.
In addition, Kolo has been a Royal Oak City Commissioner since 2020, leading an effort to enact a sustainability and climate action plan for the city. He also has served on the cityÕs Library Board and is the chairman of the Oakland County Zoological Society Authority and member of the Zoological Society Board of Directors for the Detroit Zoo.
He received a bachelorÕs degree in Human Biology from Michigan State University and lives in Royal Oak with his wife and children.
