As the Associate Director of the Jewish Community Relations Council/American Jewish Committee, Lauren Herrin is dedicated to the mission of ensuring the interests and values of the Detroit Jewish community and Israel are communicated fairly and impartially to the public.

In her role, she oversees the organization's government relations committee, board outreach, media relations and online presence.

Before joining JCRC/AJC, Herrin spent more than a decade at Marx Layne and Company, a Farmington Hills-based public relations, marketing and digital media agency.

She is on the Board of Trustees for Temple Beth El and is the co-assistant chair for the Jewish Working Women's Network. She received a bachelor's degree from Michigan State University

Herrin lives in Bloomfield Township with her husband and two children.
