Food Protection Manager Certification Course is a four day course on March 10, 12, 17 and 19 from 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at the North Oakland Health Center (1200 N Telegraph Rd, Building 34E, Pontiac). Attendance is required for the duration of the class to sit for the exam. The course registration fee is $247.25 per person and is not refundable.

The certification course will discuss:

• Causes and prevention of foodborne illness
• Safe food handling, storage, preparation and service
• Proper personal hygiene practices
• Policies for reporting health issues
• Food allergen awareness
• Food safety management systems
• Cleaning and sanitizing procedures
• Emergency preparedness
• Pest control

The program satisfies the food safety manager certification requirement of the Oakland County Sanitary Code Article IV, as well as the Michigan Food Law, Act 92 of 2000.

Complete the registration form and mail or deliver to the Health Division with the registration fee and a copy of your previous certificate (if applicable).
