In-Person Workshop: Shaping Oakland County’s Brand & Tourism Economy
Date:
06/17/2025 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM1005 Van Hoosen Road
Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm
Each workshop is interactive and hands-on, with opportunities to explore early insights from Oakland’s tourism diagnostic process
The Oakland County Department of Economic Development is hosting this collaborative workshop to bring together residents, business owners, nonprofits, and community partners to co-create a vision for a thriving, inclusive, and sustainable visitor economy.
Come and help us answer questions like:
- How can we grow visibility for hometown events that we love?
- How do we better connect our great outdoor experiences?
- What’s the best way to market our communities authentically and effectively to various audiences (e.g., Metro Detroiters, Midwestern Explorers, International Visitors)?
- How do we support the long-term coordination and funding needed to manage tourism here?
This will not be a sit-and-listen session. Each workshop is interactive and hands-on, with opportunities to explore early insights from Oakland’s tourism diagnostic process and help shape the experiences, messages, and priorities that define our destination.
