Environmental Sustainability

Environmental Sustainability and Natural Resources Stewardship are a core value in Oakland County Park's 2023-27 Recreation plan. OCP is guided by its vision and mission. It implements sustainable actions consistent with its core values to plan, build and operate parks and services in a sustainable manner while collaborating with local communities and caring for the natural environment, preserving land and open space for future generations, meeting current recreation needs without compromising the future and building communities resilience to climate change.

Oakland County Parks coordinates sustainability related projects with the County Executive - Office of Sustainability.
