The Berkley Historical Museum is located in the old, 1928, Fire Hall at City Hall which houses artifacts of area history.

The Birmingham Historical Museum & Park features the 1822 John West Hunter House and the 1928 Allen House. The Museum, in partnership with other community organizations, including the Birmingham Historical Society, hosts public tours, lectures and special events.

Byers Historical Homestead is located on a 2.5-acre farm site first settled in 1825. The farm complex is part of the Commerce Township Park land.

The Clarkston Heritage Museum, Clarkston's first and only museum, provides the story of Clarkston's earliest history. Open during all regular Independence Township Library hours.

The Clawson Historical Museum, in the former Fisher House, 1919, offers an extensive collection of newspapers, photographs, fashion books and genealogical materials.

Farmington Historical Society is a civic group of like-minded individuals who are interested in preserving and sharing the history of Farmington and Farmington Hills.

The Northeast Oakland Historical Museum is the former bank building which has a past as rich as many of its historical contents and artifacts.

The Waterford Historical Society is an active group dedicated to collecting, protecting, and preserving the history of Waterford for the interest and education of present and future generations.
