File a Petition
If you believe you lost your job due to foreign trade, you may choose to file a petition to have your company certified for the TAA Program.
File a Petition for Trade Adjustment
A petition may be filed online by a group of three or more workers, an employer of a group of workers, a union, a state workforce official, an American Job Center operator/partner, or another duly authorized representative.
Trade Adjustment Assistance Orientation
A Trade Adjustment Assistance orientation is an informational meeting for people who have been recently laid-off. Experts from Oakland County Michigan Works! and the Unemployment Agency of the State of Michigan will share information on TAA benefits, answer questions about unemployment insurance and TRA claims, as well as services available through Oakland County Michigan Works! to support individuals in their job search activities.
If you attended an orientation in the past and would like to register for the program, use your benefits or if you have questions about the TAA program, please reach out to Oakland County Michigan Works! at oaklandcountymiworks@oakgov.com for additional information.
